Caterpillar 225B Hydraulic Excavator
From RitchieWiki
[edit] Features
Like its predecessor, the 225B has two different engine configurations: the American unit has a Cat 3208 engine while the Belgian unit has a 3304 engine. Both produce 145 flywheel horsepower (FWHP).
The 225B was manufactured in the USA, with a 2ZD serial number prefix, and in Belgium, with a 3YD prefix.
The 3YD has increased implement, travel, and heavy lift pressures, larger boom cylinders, a reinforced boom stick, new track links and shoes, and larger shoe bolts and track roller bolts.
