[edit] Modifications
In 2002 Caterpillar added a new cab design with a fuse panel and EMS III monitoring system, a 12-volt power supply, a water tank with all light arrangements, communications radio, updated software, sweep design, spin on hydraulic filters, and the dual function cable fairlead was recessed into the arch, beginning with AAE00583. At the same time electric winch controls were added for skidders equipped with a grapple, and a trigger control was added to the grapple control handle.
Production of AAE ended in 2002.
Based on data from the sales database of Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, it is estimated that more than 900 Caterpillar 535B skidders have been produced.
