A conventional truck crane is a mobile crane with a lattice boom, which is lighter than the boom on a hydraulic truck crane. Multiple boom sections can be added so it can reach up and over an obstacle. A conventional truck crane cannot raise and lower with hydraulic power; instead, it must have separate power to move up and down.
