Dairy Cows
A dairy herd is a group of cows, normally found on farms and other dairy production facilities, used for producing milk and other dairy products.

Dairy herds are one of the top priorities when considering the methods and machinery for extracting milk from cows. While traditional methods involved the laborious task of pumping milk by hand, today’s technology leans towards Automatic Milking Systems, or robotic milking. This involves a new range of equipment that coaxes the herds into a facility where robotic milking takes place. This new technique has associated benefits to the cow, such as voluntary milking and little or minimum harm, as opposed to the more primitive methods.[1]
