[edit] History

[edit] The Establishment of Hazemag

Hazemag was founded after World War II in Germany. Records show that Richard Rendemann and Dr. Ehrhardt Andreas applied for registration of the company in 1946.[1]

After experiencing some success following the company launch shortly after the second World War, Hazemag joined with another German company named Eisenhutte Prinz Rudolph (EPR). EPR was founded in 1842 as a mining and tunneling equipment manufacturer.

[edit] Inventive Impact Crushers

Upon its creation, Hazemag produced the Hazemag Andreas impact crusher. With the help of his brother, Arno Andreas, the Hazemag founders devised new crushing techniques that contributed to their success. This crushing technique came in handy during a period when many cities and towns were bombed and aggregate rubble had to be processed.

With very little history behind the company, Hazemag successfully sold more than 150 impact crushers in the little time it had been in existence. The crushers were used to help reconstruct the damage incurred by the war and rubble was used to begin the rebuilding process.

[edit] Multiple Acquisitions

Both Hazemag and EPR were acquired by Salzgitter Maschinenbau in 1988. Hazemag subsequently became a brand of Noell Service and Maschinentecknik and moved to Dulmen.

In 1999, it was acquired once again by Mssrs. Schmidt Kranz & Co., where it became an independent company under the name of Hazemag & EPR GmbH.

Seven years later, in 2006, Hazemag expanded with the acquisition of the Mineral Processing Division of DBT in Lunen. This expansion broadened the product line to include equipment such as primary through-flow crushers and scraper chain conveyors. The equipment was produced with a horizontal flow operation principle.[2]

[edit] The Company Today

Since Hazemag came into existence, it has produced and manufactured more than 70,000 impactors throughout the world.  The company currently has approximately 110 products available. It has invested $250,000 in expanding its facilities for the 300-strong workforce. New products that have emerged onto their product list include the AP-V and AP-VM sand impactors.[3]
