A screen plant is used to filter and separate different sizes of raw and crushed rock. It can vary greatly in its number of components and conveyors. It is basically a set of box frames with varying-sized screen meshes clamped and tensioned in the frame. The screen is coupled to the support frame by springs or rubber mountings. The screens are mounted at an angle so that aggregate material moves down them. As material moves, it is vibrated until it falls through the screen or moves off the end of the screen onto a conveyor.
