This discussion or the origin of the skid steer ignores the fact that essentially the same machine (but 4 wheel, articulated.) was developed in the late 40's or early 50's by company named Davis, later acquired by Case and became Case-Davis. Somehow Case managed to miss the market. I have one. We still use it o my farm. Works fine.
