skidder is a machine that either uses a hydraulic grapple, or choker cables drawn by a hydraulic winch to drag (skidd) felled trees to a site to be delimbed or bucked into logs and be loaded onto trucks to be hauled to the mill to be chipped or sawed into lumber.
