Zero Tail Swing
From RitchieWiki(Redirected from Zero tail swing)
Zero tail swing, also referred to as zero swing or zero house swing, is a feature by which the rear of a machine has the ability to rotate at the base or house while remaining within the width of its tracks. This means the cab will not overlap in the path of the machine's tracks.
Today the most popular use of the zero tail swing feature is incorporated into the design of compact and mini excavators. The advantage of zero tail swing is that it provides mini excavators with additional flexibility to maneuver and operate within tight, confined spaces as well as in close proximity to walls, foundations, and other obstacles that may lie in the machine’s path. In addition, the operator has a broader range of visibility.
